Every time my Mac tries to coerce me into upgrading to Tahoe, I get a little closer to selling it and buying a Linux laptop instead.

Dead serious. Linux distros have gotten really good. Meanwhile, Apple insists on turning macOS into Windows as hard and fast as it can.
